Biography

Ciara Barry is a Belfast born producer based in Glasgow, Scotland. Ciara is one half of producing duo barry crerar, with friend & fellow producer Rosie Crerar. Most recent credit is feature drama GIRL, with debut writer/ director Adura Onashile and due to premiere at Sundance Film Festival 2023. Co-producer credits include Bouli Lanners English language debut NOBODY HAS TO KNOW, with Versus Film & Jacques-Henri Bronckart. Recent accolades include selection for the inaugural Rising Stars Scotland 2022, BAFTA Scotland nomination Best Film 2021 and BIFA longlist for Breakthrough Producer 2020. Prior to barry crerar, Ciara’s background is in talent development, producing short films over a decade with stand out talent including Sam Firth, Ruth Paxton and Michael Pearce. From 2013-2016 Ciara was a line producer at Mallinson Television Productions, delivering high end TV commercials and production services for clients including Visit Scotland & Canon Japan. Previously Ciara was project manager at Screen Academy Scotland for MEDIA funded European inter-film school programme ENGAGE and Development & Production Executive at DigiCult, a new talent development initiative funded by UK Film Council 2009-2012. Ciara started her career at Glasgow Media Access Centre, working alongside producers David Smith and Paul Welsh and talent including Peter Mackie Burns, Johnny Barrington and Scott Graham.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away in 2016. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
