Script Writing Masterclass and Individual Meetings

EAVE is proud to organise an EAVE ON DEMAND session in co-operation with the POITIERS FILM FESTIVAL in Poitiers, France.
The EAVE ON DEMAND will consist of a masterclass session on script writing and individual meetings.
EAVE ON DEMAND IN POITIERS will combine the long experience that EAVE has in international training and networking with a tailor-made approach for the selected participants.
Script Consultant: Miguel Machalski (FR)
Born in Buenos Aires of a Polish father and a British mother and based in Paris for many years, with a multicultural, multilingual background, he has been working since 1995 as a development and creative consultant on projects from all parts of the world, specializing in what is sometimes labelled as World Cinema – though his track record as a script analyst also includes major studio films and works from prominent filmmakers such as Clint Eastwood (Million-dollar Baby), Alejandro Amenábar (The Sea Inside), Nagisa Oshima (Taboo), David Cronenberg (Spider), Sydney Pollack (The Interpreter) and Ingmar Bergman (Saraband).
Some of the recent films he worked on as an advisor have garnered several awards in major festivals: Bonsai (Chile, Cristián Jiménez), De jueves a domingo (Chile, Dominga Sotomayor), Abrir puertas y ventanas (Argentina, Milagros Mumenthaler, The Last Friday (Jordan, Yahya Alabdallah), La Playa (Colombia, Juan Andrés Arango), Good to Go (Slovenia, Matevz Luzar), and La sirga (Colombia, William Vega). He has currently been commissioned to write an animation feature based on the childhood of Nobel prize-winning Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda.
Production consultant: Roshanak Behesht Nedjad (DE)
Roshanak began working in the film industry as a festival coordinator and production manager. In 1999, she started her first production company Flying Moon, together with Helge Albers and Konstantin Kroning. Until 2014 they produced arthouse films, with over 30 international awards, among them the German Film Award in Gold and the Prix Europe Iris.
In 2012, Roshanak ventured into Serious Games with Ludlnc and in 2014 she teamed up with Jani Thiltges and Claude Waringo, starting In Good Company in Berlin. The focus if IGC is on international coproductions, with an emphasis on European features, aiming to entertain on a smart level.
Roshanak also works as an expert and consultant for various institutions and training organisations such as EAVE. She is a member of the German Film Academy as well as the European Film Academy, an EAVE graduate and group leader.
