THE LITTLE COMRADE in post-production

In Post-Production June 2017

  • THE LITTLE COMRADE by Moonika Siimets, producer: EAVE graduate and Estonian National Coordinator Riina Sildos has completed production. The script, written by Moonika Siimets, is based on autobiographic novels Comrade Kid and Grown-Ups and Velvet and Sawdust by Estonian author Leelo Tungal. The main character of the film is a six-year-old Estonian girl named Leelo. In the midst of Stalinist tyranny her mother is sent to a prison camp. Haunted by her mother’s last words telling her to be a good kid, Leelo vows to be on her best behaviour in the confusing grown-up world in the hope that it will bring her mother back. Support comes from the Estonian Film Institute and Creative Europe MEDIA.

  • HORIZON, produced and directed by EAVE graduate Tinatin Kajrishvili, co-producers: EAVE graduates David Herdies and Titus Kreyenberg is in post-production. Giorgi and Ana, once a loving couple, are in the difficult process of separation, which goes quietly without attracting the attention of others. Shock seems to have passed, but getting used to a new way of life seems endless. Gemini and Artizm are producing in coproduction with Sweden’s Momento Film and Germany's UnaFilm. The Georgian National Film Center and the Swedish Film Institute support the project, which was selected for Meetings on the Bridge 2015 and applied for CineLink Industry Days 2017.
