CPH:FORUM now open for applications!

Call for applications

Dear EAVE producers,

The international financing and co-production event CPH:FORUM is now open for entries and we strongly encourage EAVE producers to submit their upcoming films.

Please read below for more information about how to apply with your new project!

Applications are now open for this year’s CPH:FORUM, CPH:DOX’s international co-production and financing event.

CPH:FORUM will be held from 13-15 November 2013 in Copenhagen. We engage the who’s who of the entire filmmaking spectrum from top-notch commissioning editors to zeitgeist art institutions. We were the first venue where stand-out documentaries like “The Act of Killing” (EAVE 2010 project), “Searching for Sugarman” and “Armadillo” were pitched and got their feet off the ground.

CPH:FORUM will pick 30 projects that combine strong narratives, compelling images, and timely visual commentaries to pitch at CPH:FORUM. We’re dedicated to weaving together the most influential international financiers, industry professionals, and producers that stimulate both curiosities and commitments.

CPH:FORUM offers project presentations, tailored one-on-one meetings with financiers and co-production partners, seminars, informal networking, dinners and good old fun!

If you are a filmmaker and would like to apply, please read the full entry and submission criteria. Submissions can be at various stages of production.

We want to hear about your newest project in the categories of: FICTIONNONFICTION representing challenging works in the hybrid of fiction and non-fiction. CINEMA representing high-end theatrical films and ART representing feature film projects by visual artists, to be screened within cinema and visual arts.

The deadline for submissions is 2 September 2013 and new this year, we’re excited to announce the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award of 15,000€ for this year’s best pitch!

2 EAVE producers will be selected for CPH:FORUM covering the submission fee. Please clearly mark your online application with 'EAVE'.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away on March 3. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
