She lives in the Berlin suburb Schönefeld, where in addition to the construction of the planned airport BER Cindy’s hopes also stand still. But when she gets to know the international engineers of the future runway, a jolt goes through her dull existence. Cindy smells the taste of the wide world and breaks out from the dreary suburban existence. Supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and DFF. As the years went by, he lived with this secret and fondly watched her grow up from afar. They probably would never have talked if Dorothy hadn’t one day decided to knock on his door. She heard about his detective work and would like him to help her find her biological father. The Tarantula production has a budget of 1.4 million EUR, with backing from the CCA and Wallimage.
- MON AMIE VICTORIA by Jean-Paul Civeyrac, co-producer: EAVE 2000 graduate Jacques-Henri Bronckart is shooting. Partners of the Sixteen Films production include Why Not and Element Pictures, Film4, Irish Film Board and British Film Institute (BFI).

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: EAVE 2014 EUROPEAN PRODUCER WORKSHOP - DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 20, 2013
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: EAVE 2014 EUROPEAN PRODUCERS WORKSHOP - DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 20, 2013
EAVE, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, is one of the leading training and development providers for producers in Europe, renowned for its European Producers Workshop.
Who is it for?
EAVE is aimed at producers, both fiction and documentary, who are already working in the film and television industries, who wish to begin to operate on a European wide basis by increasing their knowledge of producing and co-producing in Europe and by building up a pan European professional network. We also welcome applications from associated branches of the industry - e.g. commissioning, funding, legal and finance, festivals & markets, media administration. Each year fifty participants are selected from most of the EU countries and beyond and take part in three one-week long workshops.
How does it work?
Half the participants attend the course with projects and it is an excellent means of development through intense focus on the project with colleagues and experts throughout the year. Most participants attending with a project also bring their writer for the first two weeks which enables producer and writer to benefit together from one-to-one sessions with script experts.
During the first two workshops, in March and June, participants work within groups led by experienced producers and with several experts on script analysis, development and production financing, legal aspects of co-production, marketing, pitching, packaging and more. In the third week in October/November, 40-50 Decision Makers (commissioning editors, national and regional media funds, sales agents, etc.) join the participants to discuss the projects, companies and careers of the participants, a process which offers unusual access to Europe's Decision Makers.
EAVE graduates join a unique network of active European producers which forms one of the backbones of the industry. Furthermore, EAVE participants and members benefit from our partnerships with the leading European film festivals and markets where EAVE facilitates graduate participation.
Timeline
The interviews with a pre-selection of candidates will take place in autumn 2013 and the selection will be announced in December 2013. The 3 workshops take place during March 10 - 17 in Luxembourg (LU), June 16 - 23 in Bolzano/South Tyrol (IT) and October/November (tbc) in Istanbul (TR, tbc) 2014.
Deadline for APPLICATIONS: September 20, 2013

Baltic Bridge East by West Producers’ Workshop Announces Project Slate
Baltic Bridge East by West Producers’ Workshop Announces Project Slate
The Baltic Bridge East by West (B’EST), an initiative designed for feature film projects from the European Union and the CIS countries and Georgia, has selected the project slate for its second edition. The workshop is held by the organizers of Baltic Event (Estonia) and Northern Seas Film Forum in cooperation with EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs), RFilms, CTB Film Company (Russia), and with the support from MEDIA Mundus. B’EST consists of two workshops, which take place on September 11-15 in St Petersburg, within the framework of St Petersburg International Film Festival, and November 26-29 in Tallinn, within the framework of Baltic Event.
The European Union half of the slate is represented by projects from Austria, France, Lithuania, Slovak Republic and the United Kingdom. Witcraft Szenario, Austria, presents gangster comedy Kaviar, debut feature of Elena Tikhonova, a young Russian filmmaker based in Vienna. Clandestine Films, France, participates with the road movie You Hid Saint Petersburg in Your Bag, the second feature of award-winning director Valerie Gaudissart. The post-Soviet tragicomedy A Miracle by UK's National Film and Television School graduates Egle Vertelyte (writer-director) and Lukas Trimonis (producer) from Lithuania represents the Baltic countries. Slovakian drama Out, which takes its main character on a "North-Eastern European Odyssey" from Slovakia to Estonia, is the debut feature of promising FAMU graduate György Kristóf. And the UK's Scala Productions by Nik Powell and Ian Priorare looking for Russian co-producers for yet another story of a journey - Passing Clouds, a couple's honeymoon on Trans-Siberian Express.
On the Eastern front, projects from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Ukraine have been selected to participate in the workshop. The talented young Azerbaijani filmmaker Ru Hasanov participates with his second feature, Northbound. Georgia is represented by Terzo Mondo, a drama by the award-winning film director Merab Kokochashvili, whose filmography spans over five decades. Kyrgyzstan presents the drama Centaur, directed by Aktan Arym Kubat, whose films have competed at Locarno and Cannes film festivals. From Russia, Ella Manzheeva's debut The Gulls is a drama set in the director's native Republic of Kalmykia. The line-up is completed by the drama Kai, directed by Ukrainian Oleg Sentsov, who is about to start shooting his second feature just as the first workshop of B'EST kicks off.
German-Kazakh project Good-bye, directed by Anna Hoffmann, from B'EST's last year's slate has meanwhile already been completed, going into production even before the second workshop, and Georgian project House of Others, directed by Rusudan Glurjidze, has just been presented at Locarno’s Open Doors co-production lab and will be shot in 2014, while all the other B'EST graduates continue their journey towards completion with equal zeal.
