CINELINK: Open Call for EAVE producers
Dear EAVE producers,
We are happy to let you know that thanks our partnership with CineLink, we are again able to offer EAVE producers the unique possibility to have privileged access to the CineLink Co-production Market in order to meet regional filmmakers and discover their projects.
Producers interested in co-producing with Southeastern Europe can now apply through EAVE for participation at CineLink 2011.
CineLink, the backbone of the festival's Industry Section, is a development and financing platform for carefully selected local feature projects destined for European co-production. With average conversion rate of its selected projects from development to production of over 60% in the past 8 years, CineLink grew into one of the most successful development and financing platforms in Europe. Films developed trough CineLink are now almost regular part of prestigious festivals selections and distribution catalogues around the world. In addition to the films presented this year in official selections of both Berlin and Cannes, we are especially proud that last year HONEY by Semih Kaplanoglu and Florin Serban's IF I WANT TO WHISTLE, I WHISTLE scooped both Golden and Silver Bears at the Berlinale. Selection and diversification in development are central to this success, while focus on local productions with international potential, emerging talent and modern cinematic language proved essential to the program's raising profile in the film industry.
You can find the 2011 CineLink selection and further information under http://www.sff.ba/content.php/en/cpm_selection?&site=industry&set_culture=en
Please let us know by June 13 if you are interested and send us by e-mail (eave@eave.org) a short motivation statement so that the selection of EAVE producers participating can be made.
The selected producers will be invited by CineLink and the Sarajevo Film Festival who will provide accreditation and accommodation during the market. EAVE will cover the transport.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
Kind regards,
The EAVE team

Help shape the future of MEDIA MUNDUS – don’t forget to participate!
The European Commission is inviting responses to an online public consultation on the future of MEDIA Mundus.
The purpose of the consultation is to gather opinions regarding the provision of an international co-operation programme from audiovisual professionals in Europe and beyond, with a view to shaping a 'new MEDIA Mundus' for 2014 onwards.
The online consultation is just one part of a wider public consultation, responses to which will be taken into account in the Commission's proposal for a new MEDIA Mundus programme (to be adopted by the European Parliament and European Council), following an assessment of possible social, economic and environmental impacts.
The consultation is open to individual citizens, public and private bodies, local/regional authorities, ministries and relevant stakeholders in the audiovisual sector, both inside and outside the EU. The consultation is available online and only takes a few minutes to complete.
The deadline to respond is 23 May 2011!!! Thanks for your input!
