Calls for application for: Warsaw Kids Film Forum; Holland Film Meeting

Warsaw Kids Film Forum is now accepting applications for its international pitching forum

Deadline: 30 June

We are now accepting applications for projects to take part in the pitch session during Warsaw Kids Film Forum. Poland’s first international forum for films and television series aimed at children. The forum will take place from the 27th – 29th of September 2017, in Warsaw during the 4th edition of The Kids Film Festival. We are accepting applications until June 30th.

The goal of the Warsaw Kids Film Forum is to create a meeting place for film industry professionals who are interested in creating content for children. We will bring together countries from our region, where creating content for children is in its infancy, with professionals from countries where productions aimed at children are a regular part of the industry. The forum will be an opportunity to connect with: producers, distributors, sales agents, funding institutions, and film festival representatives. We want to create a space that will be practically helpful; connecting projects with potential co-producers, distributors and festivals; as well as educational, where the industry can discover the newest trends.

During the Warsaw Kids Film Forum between 20 and 24 projects will take part in the pitch session, projects of feature films and television series who are searching for coproducers, distributors or financing. The winner of the best pitch will be invited to present their project during The Financing Forum for Kids Content 2018, in Malmo. There will also be “Work in Progress” screenings for select Polish projects. As well as the opportunity to consult ideas for projects, aimed at children, at One-To-One meetings with script doctors, sales agents and distributors.

The forum is being organized for the film and media industries in Poland and Europe, with an emphasis on presenting projects from Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Baltic states. We are inviting: producers, writers, directors, distributors, sales agents, funding institutions, as well as others interested in creating culture for children.

Warsaw Kids Film Forum has opened registration for the Pitching session; applications can be submitted until June 30th, through the online form at www.warsawkidsff.pl. Taking part in the pitch session as well as the pitching workshops is free of charge.  Projects being developed at Kids Film Pro, a development program of films for children www.kdpro.pl will also be presented during the forum.

Holland Film Meeting

Utrecht will again be the key location for the finance and support of quality independent film. This year the Holland Film Meeting (HFM) celebrates its 30th birthday and will, as in previous years, look to stimulate a high level of co-production activity between many of Europe’s leading representatives from the Dutch, European and global film industry. We are pleased to inform you about BoostNL - the new collaboration which had its first edition last year, between HFM and CineMart, Rotterdam, which maximises market support of international co-productions that have already been presented at CineMart or granted by Hubert Bals Fund and for Dutch feature projects currently in development. Read more about the initiative here

At the HFM Co-production Platform, the core event of the HFM, approximately 20 Dutch and European feature films in development will be introduced to a selected group of top international film industry professionals from the production, finance, sales and distribution sectors.

Do you have a project in development at the moment and you are looking to co-produce, then perhaps HFM is the right place for you. Submissions are welcome until June 30th, 2017. Please find the submission form here

The Works-in-progress section allows you to submit your film in post-production. If the film is selected you will have the chance to present excerpts to a select group of film professionals who will give feedback in order for you to improve the film. You can submit your WiP until June 30th, 2017. Please have a look at the Works-in-progress session here
