  • MEN DON’T CRY by Alen Drljevic, co-producer: EAVE graduate Sznezana Penev is nominated as the Bosnian contender for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
  • THE KING’S CHOICE by Erik Poppe, executive producer: EAVE graduate Thomas Gammeltoft, co-producer: EAVE graduate Lesley McKimm is the Norwegian nominee.

LUX Prize

  • WESTERN by Valeska Grisebach, producers: EAVE graduates Jonas Dornbach, Boris Chouchkov is among the three selected films competing for the LUX Prize of the European Union.

24 films by EAVE graduates are among the 65 titles from the EFA Feature Film Selection, the list of feature fiction films recommended for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2017. The nominations will be announced on November 4 at the Seville European Film Festival in Spain. The 30th European Film Awards with the presentation of the winners will take place on December 9 in Berlin.

  • KING OF THE BELGIANS, directed and produced by EAVE graduates Peter Brosens, Jessica Woodworth, co-producers: EAVE graduates Arnold Heslenfeld, Laurette Schillings, Frans Van Gestel is named in the categories Best Film and the Best Scenario, as well as in the Best Actor category.
  • BRIMSTONE my Martin Koolhoven, producer: EAVE graduate Antonio Lombardo
  • EAVE project LAYLA M. by Mijke de Jong, producer: EAVE graduates Arnold Heslenfeld, Laurette Schillings, Frans van Gestel are competing in the category Best Co-production with Holland, while
  • DODE HOEK (BLIND SPOT) by Nabil Ben Yadir, producer: EAVE graduate Benoît Roland and EAVE graduate Peter Bouckaert is in for Best Co-production with Wallonia.

The 8th Ensors Ceremony will take place on September 16.

Donate to the EAVE Alan Fountain International Scholarship Fund

A scholarship has been set up to honour the memory of Alan Fountain, former Head of Studies and President of EAVE, who passed away on March 3. Its goal is to enable one producer from outside the EU to participate in all three sessions of the EAVE Producers Workshop each year.
